Online Apps and Collaboration Tools


Below is a list of online resources that can be used to collaborate on documents, spreadsheets and presentations others are just for fun. Once you locate the app make sure to provide the web link as well as a description explaining what the tool is used for. Begin by adding a label to categorize the app as: a collaboration tool, a presentation tool, or just a "cool tool" something fun. Also offer a suggestion as to what grade levels or curriculum focus it might be best suiter for. Provide examples, use images or even embed a video when possible. I have started the list but there are many more so if you know of others please add them to the list.

    This site is an email host, has collaboration tools (wiki, project portals, collaborative documents) as well as presentation tools (word processor, spread sheet, planner). This also has business productivity tools – invoicing, human resource document tracking, as well as many other options. This is a MONSTER of a free site – and all docs and info used is free, and stored online. Definitely a useful site to know of, regardless of the reason (good for collaboration tools and presentation tools).

This website can be used in middle-school and can go all the way through high school.

This is useful for conversion from any unit (distance/length, speed, temperature, weight, volume, area, and currency), as well as competes more complicated computations – for example, 10*(3+4). I sent an email to the creator to add Costa Rican colones to the list, however, since it seems Central America was overlooked in the currency list.
