Welcome to Technology Applications for School Leaders Class Wiki!

As we move on we will focus on learning what a wiki has to offer. The goal is to become familiar with the functions and features of Wikispaces. Soon you will begin working on projects and collaborative work. The wiki will help us with collaboration as well as organization of information. Once you have learned the basics you will be on your way. Through exploration you will find ways to enhance your work and produce quality resources. Begin by reviewing "Getting Started Information" below. Make sure to JOIN this wiki. Once you are a member you will be ready to contribute.

Getting started with little_logo.gif is easy:

  • You can view the wiki by navigating to the couse wiki URL: http://techleadershipapps.wikispaces.com/Follow the links to additional course pages.
  • You will have access to editing most of the pages in this wiki. Use this privileged wisely.
  • Everyone in the class must be a member of the wiki to share author rights.
  • Once again you have to create and account with a user name and password. This will allow you to participate as a WikiSpaces member (not only for this class). Go to http://www.wikispaces.com to create your account. Or use the Join this Wiki link on the sidebar menu. When you register you will be asked to create a wiki... this is not necessary at this time since we will all be working in this "class" wiki. If you want to create your own wiki you can do so at another time.
  • Once you are logged in with your username and password you need to JOIN this wiki http://techleadershipapps.wikispaces.com/. Once I receive your request to join I will add you to the class.
  • What is the difference between viewing the wiki and joining a wiki? Viewing lets you do just that read and review. By joining the wiki you will be allowed editing rights.
